I was completely new to publishing when I first approached Jessica. I didn't really know what I needed, or how to approach it, but I was met with a professional and patient response every time. Everything was laid out for me in advance, with easy to understand contracts and agreed timing. I knew what to expect at every stage and the on-going after care is superb. No question is too stupid, or a waste of time to answer, even if it's already been covered. I would highly recommend, and always do, to anyone new or experienced. Emily Reading, author of Residuum of Ravenstone

I was so pleased with the work Jessica did for me on Boyle's Law, I commissioned her to design the cover for the sequel, Boiling Point. She provides very clear guidelines with no hidden costs and working with her is straightforward, enjoyable and rewarding. Five star service." LG Thomson, author of Boyle's Law

I can’t recommend Jessica Bell's design service highly enough. In addition to being a gifted artist and designer, Jessica totally understands books, which makes her the ideal cover designer. Within moments, she had totally got what my novel was about and offered me three different looks for the cover. It was a genuine collaboration. She proved herself to be a quick and imaginative designer, as well as flexible about developing and amending the design as we went along. Jessica has now designed covers for both my contemporary novels, which have helped propel them into the best bookstores, including WH Smiths. Carol Cooper, journalist and author

When I decided that I needed a cover upgrade for my Archer and Baines crime series, I knew I needed a designer I could work with to create a recognisable brand that would stand out from the herd. I asked members of the Alliance of Independent Authors to suggest some names, and Jessica Bell was one that came up time and again. A visit to her website showed me why, and she has been an absolute joy to work with. It’s an exciting partnership where she really wants to understand the brief and is happy to tweak or even go back to the drawing board to get it right. Jessica’s so much more than my cover designer – she’s a creative partner and a key member of my team. She’s highly professional, reasonably priced, and shows me a genuine loyalty as a regular client. My covers draw admiring comments from author friends, many of whom have gone on to work with Jessica themselves. I’m very fortunate to have found her. Dave Sivers, Crime Fiction Author

Professional, flexible, easy to work with, and full of creative ideas that really bring out the essence of a book. Jessica took into account my ideas, but also made suggestions based on her years of experience designing covers. I would recommend Independent Publishing Assistance to anyone who asks me. The prices are reasonable and the quality is superb. Theresa Nash, author of The Cruelty of Love

I commissioned Jessica to come up with three distinct designs for Facebook Adverts in different genres: fiction, how-to travel, and memoir. It was no easy task, particularly for the latter, as the design needed to convey subtext. Jessica is not only courteous and highly professional, she's intuitive. What more could you want? Alison Ripley Cubitt, author of Castles in the Air

I was looking for a new cover designer and Jessica Bell was recommended to me through the Alliance of Independent Authors, and I am so pleased that I found her! Her designs are fresh, attractive and unique. It is wonderful working with Jessica as, apart from her huge talent as a designer, she is efficient, reliable and very easy to work with. Her prices are excellent value for money, and her designs are outstanding. I am very much looking forward to working with Jessica and the team at Independent Publishing Assistance again and I would highly recommend their services. Angela Buckley, True Crime Author

I commissioned Jessica to redesign the paperback and ebook covers for my Young Adult Mystery series. I was delighted with the results and found Jessica very easy to work with. She took my ideas into account, but also used her extensive experience to come up with a cohesive theme. My readers love the new covers, especially the clever design of the ebox set. I would have no hesitation recommending Jessica's services." SL Beaumont, Young Adult Author

When I commissioned Jessica to create a new look for my debut novel ‘Ignoring Gravity’, I had two objectives: to refresh sales, and create a visual brand to roll-out across the next two novels in the series. I chose Jessica because of the recommendations I read The Alliance of Independent Authors. I wasn’t disappointed. Jessica quickly grasped the themes of my Identity Detective novels and produced three initial visuals for ‘Ignoring Gravity’. I liked them all. She fine-tuned the one I chose, always reacting quickly to my emails, explaining some of the principles of design, and which ideas would and wouldn’t work and why. Completing her Book Cover Design Questionnaire was a key part of the process. You can see the covers Jessica designed for me at sandradanby.com. Sandra Danby, Contemporary Women's Fiction Author

I found working with Jessica an exciting and rewarding process, having already involved her in the production of ‘The Domino Man’, ‘Counterfeit, and ‘The Reich Legacy’. Jessica absorbs the key features from the detailed information you give her and incorporates them in a unique and highly professional way. You have to pay for expertise like that. It’s worth it.” Stanley Salmons, scientist and author

I was looking for the best and when I saw the cover of the award-winning Someone To Look Up To, I knew I had found her. In spite of a demanding schedule, Jessica took on, with charm and enthusiasm, the challenge of designing a cover for Sacrificing Starlight, which needed great sensitivity to portray the fear of a kidnapped child retaining, however small, an element of hope for the victim. Three days after submitting the completed questionnaire the mock-ups arrived; and they were sensational. The obvious choice for Henry’s Tale, Jessica has produced another wonderful cover. Professional, a creative mega-talent, easy to work with and not afraid to tell you when she thinks you are wrong, she takes the strain and the pain out of one of the most important parts of the publishing process. David Pipe, author of Henry's Tale

When I had finished the first book in my dystopian fiction series, Flow, I looked for a cover designer. After looking at Jessica’s previous work, I felt confident she would be able to create a sufficiently bleak, desolate cover for my debut novel.
Jessica’s initial questionnaire made me think very clearly about what it was I wanted the cover to reflect. She came up with three prototypes, and once I had selected my favourite, we liaised regularly, until I was totally happy with the finished cover.
At all times, Jessica was easy to get hold of, responded to messages in a timely manner, and advised me honestly, especially where she felt I was making suggestions which wouldn’t work. Her experience in all areas of the self-publishing world is extensive, and she shares it happily, making sure that the finished product is the best it can be for your book’s individual genre and audience. She is professional, organised and thorough. More importantly, she is incredibly creative, and her book covers are stunning, managing to stand out, yet at the same time blend in on the Amazon sales pages. I have returned to work with her for other books in my series, and she has created subsequent covers which have strong links to Flow, yet stand out on their own as eye catching and attractive. I cannot recommend Jessica’s services enough. Clare Littlemore, Author of Flow

As a complete newbie to self-publishing I didn't have a clue about what to expect. What I didn't expect was someone like Jessica Bell who instantly 'got' my novel, Someone Like Me (Bit.ly/pamfrancis), set in the world of celebs, and the glammy contemporary look that I was after. I was impressed by the speed, and professionalism of her service, and the end result was brilliant. Would totally trust her with my next novel. Pam Francis, showbiz journalist

Jessica is very easy to work with and always enthusiastic about your project.  She is a very positive mentor, knowledgeable on the complete life cycle of publishing and also produces fabulous cover designs which readers really respond to." Alison Pooley-Wem, author of Creating Your Soul Map

I was lucky enough to win a competition to use Jessica Bell's services and I haven’t looked back since! Jessica is an extremely talented professional and a pleasure to work with. She is also intuitive and seems to know exactly what I want, sometimes before I do. As a result, I have loads of positive comments about my books and the designs have helped to increase exposure and sales. I commend Jessica Bell’s services and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommended." Deb McEwan, multi-genre author

Jessica has provided an efficient and rapid service over the past several years. She always works ethically and professionally to bring out her best possible work, and is only too happy to tweak her cover designs to suit the genre and blurb of my stories. As I have been extremely satisfied with her services, she has worked on all of my books. I will continue to work with Jessica as she is personable and caters to my self-publishing needs. Thank you, Jessica. Lucy Appadoo, multi-genre author

I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with Jessica Bell four times so far and she’s wonderful to work with. She listens to and understands what I want to achieve, yet never fails to far exceed my expectations, producing something surprising and entirely different to what I had in mind, but which captures the heart and tone of my story to perfection. You’ll be guaranteed a timely, thoughtful and friendly approach when working with Jessica and a professional end result. Hire her! She’s worth every penny and I can’t recommend her highly enough. Kate Frost, author of Beneath the Apple Blossom

Working with Jessica was not only stress free, but she is clearly able to take a creative brief, provide a strong vision that matches the concept and works up against deadlines--all while being friendly, helpful and willing to accept feedback. I worked with Jessica on the cover for my book Ahab's Daughter and I am hoping to work with her again. I've worked with several other designers over the last six years and my experience with her tops all the others. Her professionalism, matched with her creative vision is not to be matched. Ron Vitale, author of Ahab's Daughter

I hired Jessica Bell to do the book cover design for three short story collections. I had seen samples of her work and hoped that she could create mini-masterpieces for my books the way she had done for others. Her designs brilliantly capture the essence of each book, which is especially challenging for eclectic story collections. What’s amazing about Jessica is she grasps a writer’s vision and crafts covers that far exceed expectations. She is a pleasure to work with and often delivers her work early.  Ann Tinkham, author of The Era of Lanterns and Bells

I required some last minute assistance before launching my first novel, and Independent Publishing Assistance was able to accommodate my requests professionally and quickly. Highly professional work, with attention to detail, and provided exactly what I had in mind for the changes to my book. Thanks for the quick turn around. I highly recommend their services.
E. Curtis, author of Discussion of a Decent Dream

Working with Jessica Bell has been an extremely positive experience. She’s timely, organized, patient, and very friendly. I’m a novice to the world of books, and Jessica has guided me through the process with relative ease. There is nothing better than working with a professional; with Jessica that’s exactly what you’ll get and so much more! Camille Robinson author of UNLOVED

It goes without saying how important the cover of a book is. It is one of the main reasons you pick that book off the shelf and explore it further. It’s the first impression your book makes to a potential buyer. Jessica has designed 3 book covers for me so far and they are all brilliant. She not only manages to create an appealing cover, but she also understands how to capture the essence of the story inside. Her service is professional, reasonably priced and of outstanding quality. She is flexible when wanting to bring your own ideas to the table and I can not fault her work on anything. Thank you Jessica for bringing my stories to life and I will definitely be needing your services again. Jacqueline Waterhouse, children's book author

When I partnered with Jessica Bell on the re-launch of my Joe Robbins series, she first asked about my goals for the project. While the plots were sound, and Joe was an interesting main character, I felt that the writing required sharpening and that the brand needed to be updated. Jessica evaluated the original material and made creative suggestions that gave the series an edgier, more contemporary feel. Bottom line: her publishing services enabled me to produce better books. I look forward to working with Jessica on all of my future projects. She’s the best! Patrick Kelly, author of the Joe Robbins series
